Description: A first-year high school lab-intensive Biology course with a detailed study of the Monera, Protista, Fungi, Plantae and Animalia kingdoms. Some Animal kingdom subdivisions are studied further through dissections. There is also study of Ecology, Cells, Genetics, as well as an investigation of current events related to Biology including the hypotheses of evolution from a Biblical world view. This is a rigorous science class with homework on a daily basis and periodic teacher-graded tests.

Book: Apologia Exploring Creation With Biology 2nd Edition by Dr. Jay Wile and Marilyn F. Durnell Textbook is required, solutions manual is optional, and CD-ROM is not necessary.
