Earth & Space Science (7th-9th)

Description: A course focusing on the study of space, geologic structures and forces, the waters on our planet, and the atmospheric forces that shape our world. Students will explore the Earth’s spheres including the geosphere, hydrosphere, cryosphere, atmosphere, and the cycles of the Earth such as the water and carbon cycle. Students will learn about scientific inquiry, space exploration, the solar system, and the universe. This will not be a lecture-only class hands-on experiences will be included for most topics. Enrichment activities and quizzes will be offered for those who wish to count it for high school credit. Please note: This is for middle school students interested in science or for high school students who need another science credit.

Class Length: 16 weeks, year long
