Native Americans (3rd-5th)

Description: We will be exploring the different geographical regions of North America and looking at how the Native Americans who lived there adapted to their surroundings. This is a hands-on class. We will be talking about the tools, houses, clothing and other cultural items that Native Americans would have worked with as we explore their way of life. We will also explore some of the foods that they would have prepared or eaten.

Class Length: 12 weeks

Prerequisites: Students should be able to write, cut, glue and color with minimal assistance.

Homework: 0-30 minutes

Book: None

Supplies: 3 ring binder, 5 individual pocket folders that are 3 hole punched, glue, scissors, crayons/markers/colored pencils, writing pencils, and watercolors with paintbrush.
