Hebrew Beginnings (5th-12th)

Description: Hebrew Beginnings is a Hebrew introductory course focusing on the Hebrew Aleph-Bet, the use of Hebrew words in Scripture, and the Hebrew Names of God.

Students will study the Hebrew Aleph-Bet including pictographs and numbers. Students will study the Hebrew forms of many of the Names of God. Students will learn how to use hebrew4christians.com to study Hebrew and to learn more about the history and meaning of Hebrew letters and words.

Students will also learn how to use blueletterbible.org to study the Bible, specifically how to find the Hebrew words and roots from which the text has been translated into English in the Old Testament.
Students will also discover some of the typologies of Jesus found in the Old Testament.

Class Length: 12 weeks, year long

Supplies: Loose leaf paper in a binder or a spiral-bound notebook, pencils with an eraser, 100 (3”x5”) UNLINED notecards
