Our Nation, Our State (K-2nd)
Teacher: Rachael Weber
Description: This is a basic introduction to geography class with lots of hands-on activities. The first few weeks of the semester, we will be focusing on the geography of the United States and then of Kansas. We will be identifying the major landforms and bodies of water of our country and state as well.
We will spend the next part of the semester looking at some of the symbols of our state. We will be talking about how the habitats of the “living” symbols of our state are a part of the geography of Kansas and discovering how they tie into our history.
