Learning to Code From Scratch (5th-8th)

Description: **Students will need to bring a tablet or laptop to class. Also, parents will all need to set up a free scratch coding account per child on the laptop for the student to use. (Cannot share a laptop or scratch account.)**

We will learn basic drag and drop coding using Scratch. We will learn to make basic games and animation. This class will be helpful (but not required) for any students interested in being on the WWHM Robotics Competition team because the programming language Lego uses is Scratch based!

Class Length: 12 weeks

Robotics Team 2024 (3rd-9th)

Description: Students will have the opportunity to compete on courses designed by WSU Colleges of Engineering Shocker MINDSTORMS coaches and demonstrate what they have learned to industry professionals and WSU representatives in presentations, interviews, displays and notebooks.

Returning students will have first choice to be on the team for the Fall 2023/Spring 2014 spring semesters.

This year the class will be for a FULL YEAR with competition at Wichita State University in the spring semester.

Parent involvement will be REQUIRED.

Class Length: 16 weeks, year long

Prerequisites: Willingness to work hard and learn together as a team.
