Intro to Sewing (5th-12th)

Description: The purpose of this class is for students to learn how to sew simple projects with a sewing machine. Each student will need access to a machine for classroom use and for completion of projects during the week if they do not do so during co op. All supplies are not absolutely necessary to have for class but would be helpful for each student to own.

Class Length: 16 weeks

Homework: 0-30 minutes

Supplies: Scissors for cutting paper, Scissors for cutting fabric, Pinking scissors, Sewing machine needles, Pins, Pin cushion, Thread, Pencil for paper, Pencil/fabric pen, Ruler, Tape measure, Seam ripper, Seam gauge, Wonder clips, Bodkin, Container to hold sewing items
