**CLOSED** Middle School Book Club (6th-8th)
Teacher: Kristi Fair
Description: In this class, we will be reading through and discussing all things books. Why we love them, how they change our lives, what the purpose of reading is and what we can learn from paying attention to the setting/character development and problems within the stories that need to be solved.
We discuss heavy topics (if they come up) so maturity is required. We will not be reading at co-op and so students will need to be prepared with finishing whatever chapters are assigned. Reading is the only homework that will be assigned. Books can be read traditionally, via audio-book or on a device. I refer to the books and give page numbers to help answer questions in class, so it is helpful to bring a physical copy of the book even if the student reads it in a different format. All books can be found at the library.
The books for the Fall 2026 semester are:
- Radiant by Vaunda Micheaux Nelson
- All Rise for the Honorable Perry T. Cook by Leslie Connor

- The Millicent Quibb School of Etiquette for Young Ladies of Mad Science by Kate Mckinnon
